Research on energy
optimization and alternatives is in the focus of ER&DI efforts, as major means of supporting energy transition to take place on a socially friendly and sustainable manner.
From enhanced efficiency in the production and use
of fossil fuels, to a vast mix of alternative energy sources and technologies, ER&DI aims to reach a positive impact on the identification of feasible energy transition paths at the lowest possible cost on adverse effects to the population, who will face the challenge of adapting within the coming 40 years the energy consumption patterns integrated to their lives during the last 150 years.
For this, ER&DI establishes cooperation schemes with researchers and entities, and well as other private companies, in order to maximize success probabilities and research costs. Research funding is also feasible provided that win-win opportunities are clearly identified.
